The Capital of the World
Inspired from Hemingway’s travel to Pamplona in Spain to witness bullfighting, the story is about a young country boy named Paco whose sisters are also employed at Luarca and who sent for him from a small village, has dreams of becoming a bullfighter himself.
The story romanticises as well as criticises bullfighting, its dangers, the craze and popularity for it. There is also a vivid description of village life of Luarca and its residents.
