Gayl Jones - 326 / 365 of reading one short story every day.



During an interview with poet Michael S. Harper, fiction writer and poet Gayl Jones stated that she learned to write by listening to people talk and at the age of seven, she wrote her first poem.


Her novels Eva’s Man (Random House, 1976) and Corregidora (Random House, 1975), were later published under the stewardship of then book editor Toni Morrison.
