Days Of Our Lives

Yet another weekend is here and all I can say is days are going by so fast! Our elders say that when one is happy time goes by soon and when everything is steady then your head is in your hands.
I am not quite sure about that because I keep swinging between the high and low and yet Tuesday comes in a blink.

Therefore I thought about our older generation and how did they viewed their approaching weekends, long holidays and the midweek breaks. Did they analyze their days too much?

I asked my dad and the first expression was of puzzlement. That meant he never understood the ardent need for taking a break or actually never had the time to see where is he,other or the time is going. Because it was natural to work the given hours or do the assigned and equally natural to relax, move to an environment of leisure. It was never a big deal to do either - work or relax. And so there was never a need to plan anything. It was a given that nearby friends would meet up in a tea shop of the vicinity. No frills.

And he went back to reading his paper and tea. He didn't wait to analyze my 'have more questions' look.
